New York, New York. City of dreams, the greatest city in the world, and where I was for the last 48 hours of 2018.

First off, let me tell you. Only in New York can you: Eat bagels for breakfast, eat Italian for lunch, have ramen for dinner, and a burrito for a quick midnight snack.

The cultural diversity is extreme in NYC (also the price of everything golly!) and it was awesome to experience all that in manhattan.

Our trip begins in December 30th, 2018. It's just me, my dad, my mom, and my sister. I take the wheel and drive my family down to New Haven and then my dad takes over as we speed into the Bronx (no traffic in CT this time baby!) Once we reach Manhattan, it begins to snow! A light dusting, but it was still nice to see that it at least snowed in December before 2019 (Despite what was going on down south, the Northeast barely had snow. In fact, we had 40-50 degree weather-quite warm for winter!).

As stated, our first stop, after the hotel, was Pick-A-Bagel, where I ordered a bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon. There was so much cream cheese! smoked salmon was really good though! Our next stop was at an Italian restaurant where to be fair, the proportions were small...But the service was excellent!

Finally, we stopped at Toto Ramen for some saucy noodles, because we were craving them and they were right around the corner of our hotel.

I really was hungry after that feast, so I decided to run across the street to grab some Mexican food near my hotel.

Next day was new years eve! My sister and I traveled to the Met and spent pretty much the entire day there. We spent so much time looking at the art and sculptures that made up ancient Rome, Greece, Egypt, as well as the near east, Islamic cultures, Edo period Japan, and China.

On our way back, many streets were blocked due to the ball drop at Times Square, and my family decided to check it out...aaaaand we were stuck in line. It turns out my dad and my sister made it to the Times Square area but couldn't see a thing. I on the other hand decided to give up and go back to the hotel with my mom (hint: you can see the performances and the ball drop much better from TV).

Anywho, that was my NYC trip!
