Anti-Asian Attacks

Hey friends,
I know this may seem a bit late, but I've needed some time to process the recent attacks on Asian Americans. The attacks in Atlanta, Georgia are nothing new. Since 2020, the pandemic, and even before that, Asian Americans have been targeted.
I want all of my friends who are Asian American (regardless if you are West, South, East, Central, or Southeast Asian) to stay safe out there.
I'd wager the worst thing to say or do to us at this point is tell us that we've had this coming. That we've solely been victims of microaggressions and only now we are being macroaggressioned. I saw so many people at the beginning of the pandemic say this, and I'm sorry to say that this is plainly false.
Even looking at an instagram post that talked about microaggressions towards various Asian groups, I noticed that many commenters - rightfully pointed out - that many of these were in fact macroaggressions. So many Asian Americans have been gaslit into believing that all of the racism that we have faced are simple "microaggressions" that pale in comparison to other minorities. While I don't deny that we may have it easier than other POC, we still face certain issues and attacks.
Please fight for Asian Elders, and Asian Women.
Thank you.
